You could try using some green tea instead of water in your smoothies – however, make a small portion first to see if you like the taste. If you don’t, have an unsweetened espresso shot or a cup of green tea one to two hours after you’ve consumed your green smoothie.
Can I modify a recipe if I don’t like the taste of one of the green smoothies?

Are there any green veggie and fruit combo that should be avoided?

Green smoothies that contain asparagus are usually a disaster unless you use no more than one spear. If you’re a broccoli fan, avoid using more than half a cup of florets per serving of green smoothie or you’ll end up with a grossly bitter concoction. You also don’t want to add more than 1/4 of an avocado in a smoothie or you’ll need a spoon to eat it.
Can I double the recipes if I want to prepare the smoothies for someone else as well?
You could double the ingredients but it would be better if you blend the two smoothies separately. This won’t take too much extra time and will ensure that the smoothies are adequately blended.
Are the ingredients used in the recipes readily available and affordable?
Yes, the produce used in the smoothies can be easily obtained at the grocery store at an affordable price. Some of the recipes call for chia or hemp seeds – if these are out of your budget, feel free to use flax seeds or sunflower seeds instead.
